For the past five years, South County Animal Hospital has been providing veterinary care for local puppies being raised for Guide Dogs for the Blind.

In addition to the excellent care they have given, veterinarians Rick Leininger, Hilary Wheeler and Michelle Griffin have donated 100 percent of their fees to help defray the veterinary costs for Guide Dogs for the Blind. Since puppy raisers have a yearly health care stipend, that they are encouraged to budget.

South County Animal Hospital’s generosity is greatly appreciated by the puppy raisers and Guide Dogs for the Blind. Thank you, doctors “Rick,” “Hilary” and Griffin, from all the puppies and raisers you continue to help with your unsurpassed support and enthusiasm for our mission.
