We would like to express our appreciation to all those who helped sponsor the appearance of David Mas Masumoto, author of Epitaph for a Peach: Four Seasons on My Family Farm, at the Community and Cultural Center on Feb. 3.
This was a wonderful, communitywide event attended by 120 residents, who learned about the joys and challenges of a small farmer.
Also participating were local growers Andy Mariani and Eddie Osako, who shared their own experiences.
Thanks go to BookSmart, the City of Morgan Hill, Morgan Hill Community Library, the Morgan Hill Times, Friends of the Library, and the American Association of University Women-Morgan Hill.
The event was organized by the Morgan Hill Reads One Book coalition, which supports the Silicon Valley Reads: One Book, One Community program. We’re already looking forward to next year!
