Morgan Hill resident Timothy Bouchette, 19, was arrested on
suspicion of driving under the influence after his vehicle
overturned on Highway 101 early Wednesday morning.
Gilroy – Morgan Hill resident Timothy Bouchette, 19, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after his vehicle overturned on Highway 101 early Wednesday morning.
Bouchette and two Morgan Hill friends were coming home from Santa Cruz at 2am on northbound 101 when the Toyota RAV4 he was driving drifted off the east shoulder, overturned and came to a rest at the westbound onramp to Leavesley Road.
Bouchette was booked into Santa Clara County Jail. He’s being held in lieu of $25,000 bail.
Nicholas Bongiorno, 20 – who was not wearing a seat belt – was ejected from the vehicle and suffered major injuries. He was taken to Regional Medical Center of San Jose where he was listed in fair condition Wednesday, according to hospital spokeswoman, Meisha Hardy. The other passenger, Chris Smith, 20, suffered no injuries. Both Bouchette and Smith were wearing seat belts.
Bouchette was uninjured and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
