TAC Classroom Giveaway a Success

More than 80 teachers attended the Feb. 8 Teachers’ Aid Coalition Classroom Supply Giveaway at P.A. Walsh Elementary School.

Teachers received stacks of construction paper, color paper, photocopy paper, card stock paper, lined paper, color markers, pens, pencils, stacks of Kleenex boxes, folders, paperclips, bandages, cloth sacks and more.

TAC’s steering committee members include president Roger Beaulieu, treasurer/secretary Kiki Nakauch, and members Richard Jones, Loritta Johnson, Judy Beshears, Jon Hatakeyama, Barbara Neal, Sandra Snively and Irma Torrez.

TAC’s next fundraiser will again be at Clos LaChance Winery in San Martin at 6pm, Aug 30. TAC will again have Dorothy McNett, of Pacific Grove and Clementine’s Kitchen (Del Rey Oaks), as host. She will talk about the world of port wine. KBAY radio personality Jona Denz Hamilton will be emcee. Andy’s Orchard will supply fresh and dried fruit to compliment the port samplings and food from Lucia Nejerans, former owner of Le Bistro. Wines of Clos La Chance will be available for sampling prior to McNett’s talk.

The Morgan Hill Unified School District Board of Education will recognize TAC members during its March 27 meeting for providing the classroom supplies to the teachers.
