In her first double-event meet of the year, Live Oak High
sophomore Cobbie Jones won both the 800 and the 1,600 at the Avis
Kelley Invitational at Gilroy High on Saturday. Jones won the 800
in 2:21 and the 1,600 in 5:18.

Acorn teammate Billy Wong was also victorious, in the 3,200 in 10:43, and finished third in both the 1,600 and the 800.
In addition, Live Oak’s Jesus Atanacio took fourth in the 1,600 and the 800, while Jonathan Kamei was fifth in the 1,600. And, Acorn Brandon Powell took third in the 300 hurdles.
