With temperatures having reached the triple digits this past weekend, plenty of local children took the opportunity to cool off at the City of Morgan Hill’s Downtown Splash feature.

The splash pad, located outside the Community and Cultural Center, is a 30-foot ring of fountains shooting water straight into the air, allowing kids to run through and get as soaked as they want during the hottest part of the day.

Although forecasters are predicting slightly cooler temperatures in the coming week, it’s still summertime and the Downtown Splash will be open every day through Aug. 16, and on weekends through Sept. 15. Hours through Aug. 16 are noon to 4pm Monday through Thursday, 10am to 2pm Fridays and noon to 4pm Saturdays and Sundays. From Aug. 17 to Sept. 15, Downtown Splash is open from noon to 4pm on weekends only.

Downtown Splash is located at 17000 Monterey Road. Children younger than 12 must have adult supervision. Proper swim attire is required.
