Sacramento.
Sacramento – Champions Academy gymnastics opened its girls compulsory season with a successful event last weekend in Sacramento.

The girls competed in the NorCal Judges Cup meet, with more than 40 teams represented from all over Northern Calif.

In the level five division, Caitie Shannon took home top honors on the bars and the beam, scoring 9.5 and 9.45 respectively out of a possible 10.0.

Shiina Suarez also took home the gold on bars for the younger level five age division, with a solid routine that earned her a 9.225.

Suarez also placed third on vault, second on beam and second a1l-around.

In the level six division, Rachel Hart took second place on beam and fourth all-around.

Kelli King and Haley Romero each took fifth place all-around in different age divisions, Maddie Miller took second place on bars and 11th place all-around, and Pooja Chirala took 10th place all-around.
