What inspires you?
Megan Rapinoe from the U.S women’s national team, and Mattie Rogers who is on Team USA for weightlifting, are two of my biggest inspirations because they both represent sports that I have a passion for.
What is your favorite subject in school? Why?
My favorite subject in school is AP English because I love to write stories about people I know, but change the names to protect the innocent.
If you had the power to change one thing in the world what would it be?
If I was to change one thing in the world I would make sure that everyone had a hot meal every night, a roof over their head and free education.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?
If I could go anywhere in the world I would go to Italy because it’s a country rich in history, it’s where my family is from and it’s important to be exposed to other cultures and ideas.
Name one big challenge in your life right now.
One big challenge in my life right now is the college acceptance process. When I think of all of the hours spent on college applications and now the waiting to hear back is as painful as watching paint dry.
What is your dream job?
Working with special needs kids—specifically Down syndrome—because this is an underrepresented group in our society today. Some of these people are amazing individuals and have a lot to contribute.
What are your three favorite things?
My three favorite things are the two sports that I do: Olympic Lifting and Soccer—they let me show what I can do best—and hanging out with my friends and family.
Favorite book:
“The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane.” I love the story behind it, and whenever I want a good read, I’ll know exactly what book!
What do you want to do after high school?
After high school I want to go to college and study Psychology with a minor in business.
Something that makes you smile.
Being around my soccer team and hanging out with my friends make me the happiest because they always know how to keep a smile on my face.
