Alejandra Sanchez, an 18-year-old senior at Live Oak High School, is this week’s “Student of the Week.”
 What inspires you? 
My mom inspires me so much because she taught me to never give up on what I want and follow my dreams.
What is your favorite subject in school, and why? 
My favorite subject in school is Culinary Arts because I love to cook and when I get home, I make dinner for the family.
If you had the power to change one thing in the world, what would it be? 
If I had the power to change the world it would be helping out the homeless. They need us to help them.
If you could go anywhere, where would you go? 
I would go to New York and see Times Square. When I get there I would have my adventures and go shopping.
Name one big challenge in your life right now:
My big challenge is to make it through high school and graduate with a diploma.             
What is your dream job? 
I don’t have a dream job yet.
What are your three favorite things? 
My three favorite things are to sleep, listen to music and be with my family.
Favorite book: 
“The House of the Scorpion” by Nancy Farmer.
What do you want to do after high school?
Go to college for two years and then to a university.

What makes me smile is to make other people smile.
