The days are quickly flying by and before you know it July 4th will be here. Don’t forget – the deadline to submit your application for the 110th Morgan Hill July 4th parade is June 4. You will still be able to submit an application until the drop-dead deadline of June 14. However, instead of $30 for non-profit entries it will then be $60, and for profit organizations the fee will increase from $150 to $300. So, get your application in by June 4.

Every day entries are being received by the Parade Committee for approval. Once again there will be a wealth of music. With Scottish pipe bands, high school bands and symphonic bands we’ll be tapping our toes and enjoying the tunes of America. And if all that music doesn’t bring a smile, never fear there are clowns galore signed up that will gladden the heart for sure. Three divisions of the Salinas Liberty Belles will be here to show off their expertise in drill team routines along with the local Las Madras group.

The 2004 Parade lineup has several new entries that include the Wells Fargo stagecoach. Also, new this year is the Pacific Coast Aeronauts and the Wings of History museum with a real live airplane. The California Shoe Inn, South Valley Internet, and Candy Graham, state equestrian champion, have submitted applications also.

We at Parade Central are very excited with this year’s lineup. All we need now is your application to make it complete. So don’t forget the deadline is June 4 to get your application in so that you can join in the fun of the 110th Morgan Hill July 4th Parade. You can find applications at BookSmart, the Library and the Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce, or go to www.mhidi.com See you in the parade.
