Two Morgan Hill teens suffered injuries that required hospitalization following a fight that could have been gang-related, police said.
About 11:50 p.m. Friday, police received a call that a “large fight” was occurring in the midst of a party at a home on the 100 block of Roosevelt Avenue, according to Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Rick Sung.
While deputies and Morgan Hill police were processing the scene for the investigation, police received a call from Saint Louise Regional Hospital in Gilroy, reporting two emergency room patients had checked in with apparently fight-related injuries, Sung said.
One of the hospitalized victims had been stabbed multiple times, and the other one had been hit with a baseball bat, Sung said. The injuries were not life-threatening, and both were in “stable” condition Monday.
Both victims are in their late-teens, and are males from Morgan Hill, police said. Authorities declined to release their names.
The incident is still under investigation. Sung said police do not yet know if the fight was gang-related. He also did not know why a fight broke out among the “large crowd” at the house.
No one has been arrested in connection with the incident, police said.
