Vincent Czeropski

Morgan Hill resident Vincent Czeropski, 12, recently participated in El Teatro Campesino’s Shakespeare’s “King Lear” play as part of Gavilan College’s Summer

Theater Arts Repertory program, which teaches young people about theater and arts.

This was Vincent’s third year in the program in San Juan Bautista. Vincent played “Oberon” in “A

Mid-Summers Night Dream” in his first year, then he played “Romeo” in “Romeo and Juliet” last year and this year he played the lead role again as “King Lear” in “The Daughters of King Lear.”

Vincent is a seventh-grader at Charter School of Morgan Hill. He’s a straight-A student. He also plays soccer for the under-14 Class 1 club soccer team South San Jose Earthquakes, coached by Bob Whitling of Morgan Hill. He has been playing soccer since he was 6 years old, starting off in the recreational and competitive programs at Orchard Valley Youth Soccer League in Morgan Hill before transferring up to the South San Jose Youth Soccer League.

In addition to spring and fall soccer, Vincent spends his winters playing hockey at Rollin Ice in San Jose, in the new Silver Creek Sportsplex in South San Jose.

Vincent’s other hobbies include reading, bike riding, fostering animals during the summer from the South County Animal Shelter, mountain climbing – he hiked to the top of Half-Dome in Yosemite last summer with his dad – a 12-hour day hike, 17 miles round trip, 4,800-foot elevation gain – and traveling. He spent one month this summer in France improving his French.
