Los Paseos Elementary School student Ryan Miller and Nordstrom Elementary School student Joshua Hawkins were honored with Rotary Club of Morgan Hill Outstanding Student Achievement awards Dec. 5.
Rotary also presented them with U.S. saving bonds for their future education, an achievement certificate and also recognized their parents and school officials at luncheon ceremonies.
Miller’s parents and school principal are Clarinda and Ivo Miller and Deborah Bennett-Hall.
Hawkins’ parents and school principal are Valerie and Jerry Heglar and Kathy Yeager.
The awards recognize and reward outstanding student academic achievement, leadership, commitment to community and excellence.
All public and private Morgan Hill schools annually select one outstanding student for the honor. Awards are announced on a rotating basis throughout the year.
