NOTES: Thomas Guenet tossed seven innings against PH, allowing just four hits and no runs. In the rematch against the Pirates, Guenet went 2-for-3 and Jack Rice had three RBIs. On the mound, Bennett Nishikawa fanned 10 batters in five innings.

Live Oak HS softball (9-1 overall, 4-0 BVAL Santa Teresa)

Recent results: Won 14-0 at Del Mar; won 14-4 vs. Silver Creek; won 7-2 vs. Prospect

NOTES: In the win over Silver Creek, pitcher Julianna Altamirano threw seven innings, giving up no earned runs and striking out 13 batters. She also went 3-for-4 at the plate, including smashing two doubles. 

Tilly Hill also went 3-for-4. In the victory over Prospect, Altamirano struck out 16 batters in seven innings. Hill hit 3-for-3, with two doubles.

NOTES: Earlier in the season, fireballer Altamirano threw perfect games (no hits, no walks, no baserunners) against Del Mar on March 21 and versus Pioneer on March 24.

Recent results: Won 17-4 at Willow Glen; won 13-1 at Gilroy; lost 14-6 at Stevenson

NOTES: In the 17-4 smashing of the Rams, Amelya Forbis scored five goals and Megan Cahill Mallory added three tallies. In the 13-1 rout of the Mustangs, Forbis scored six and Viviana Bettencourt had four assists.

Live Oak HS boys volleyball (9-6 overall, 5-0 BVAL West Valley)

Recent results: Won 3-0 vs. Yerba Buena; won 3-2 at Gunderson

NOTES: Acorns shocked Gunderson with the reverse sweep. LOHS lost the first two sets 25-23 and 25-21, then rolled 25-15, 25-20, 15-13 to capture the match. 

Acorns are tied in first place in league with Mt. Pleasant, who they will see on Thursday.

NOTES: In the shutout over the Dons, a three-run first inning was the key. Aiden Flores led the Bulldogs with a 3-for-3 afternoon. In the rematch at Del Mar, Dylan Brown, Jackson Raines, Vince Pomo, Braylen Belardes, Hunter Rubbo and Liam Bettencourt each recorded two hits.
