Bulldogs beat Gunn to remain unbeaten in league play
The Sobrato High girls volleyball team evened its overall record at 4-4 and improved to 2-0 in the West Valley Division with a four-game victory over Gunderson on Friday.
Jordyn Hanne led the Bulldogs with nine kills, who won the match 25-19, 25-18, 24-26, 25-8.
Sobrato looks to remain unbeaten in league play when it faces Del Mar today at 5pm.
Leland d. Live Oak 25-17, 25-10, 25-17
The Acorns dropped their second straight game to open the Mt. Hamilton Division play.
Katarina Cinkova had three kills to lead Live Oak, which fell to 4-8 overall with the loss to the Chargers (12-4, 2-0). The Acorns next chance for a win is today at home against Mt. Pleasant.
Field Hockey
Live Oak got two goals from junior forward Lexy Nuno and shut out Leigh 2-0. The Acorns moved to 3-1-1 with the win.
In other action, Sobrato fell to Willow Glen 4-0.
Girls Tennis
Live Oak fell to 0-4 in Mt. Hamilton Division play on Thursday with a 6-1 loss to Leland. The Acorns return to action today against Independence.
