Girls take 7th, boys take 13th at prestigious cross country
meet
Stanford – The Sobrato High cross country team continued its successful season with a strong performance at the Stanford Invitational on Saturday.
The girls team took seventh overall in Division IV with a score of 200. Carmel took first in the division with its score of 93.
Freshman Kendra Higgins took seventh individually in Division IV with her time of 19:20. Junior Abby Devaraj took 36th with a time of 21:04 and Amber Masoni was shortly behind her in 40th at 21:13.
The boys team also did well, finishing 13th in Division IV with a team score of 291. Carmel was also the first place finisher on the boys side in the division.
Sophomore Lance Wolfsmith was the Bulldogs top runner, finishing sixth in a time of 16:22. Alex Rios was Sobrato’s next top runner, finishing 39th in 17:38 and Christian Swanson was 46th at 17:45.
