Led by 13 points from sophomore guard Marqus Crawford, the Sobrato High frosh-soph boys basketball team routed host Sequoia 47-19 on Saturday.

The victory improved the Bulldogs to 4-1 overall this season. Freshman guard Quincy Rich added 11 for Sobrato.

After beginning the season with three straight road wins, Sobrato suffered its first loss of the season on Thursday, losing at Homestead 61-54 despite Crawford’s 34-point effort. In the first three games of the season, the Bulldogs beat Kehillah 43-26 in its season-opener, upended Harker 57-26 and defeated Independence 38-20.

Top scorers included Crawford (13 against Harker and 11 against Independence), and freshman forward Mark Garma (10 against Harker).

The Sobrato boys, who will not officially join a league until next season, are playing a combination frosh-soph/JV schedule this season. The Bulldogs play at Live Oak on Saturday at 2pm.
