MORGAN HILL — The Sobrato Bulldogs continued their habit of winning close games Tuesday, beating Overfelt 4-3 in a Santa Teresa Division tennis match at Sobrato High School.
The Bulldogs (4-3 league) dominated singles play and secured the victory by taking 1 of 3 in pairs. They forfeited the No. 3 doubles match.
For Sobrato, top single Ronnie Pollard beat J. Leong 7-5, 6-1, Tyler Pecsok downed M. Garcia 6-3, 6-1 and Zach Thomas defeated K. Pason 6-4, 6-2.
Gian Abella and Jacob Mendiola of the Bulldogs won the No. 1 doubles match 6-3, 6-2.
Sobrato will host Prospect at 3:15 p.m. Thursday.
