Santa Clara County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a suspect tied to the theft of more than $3,000 worth of shoes from a home in Morgan Hill, according to authorities.
The investigation into the home burglary began in November 2019. Deputies assigned to South County in November 2019 investigated a vandalism incident that occurred in unincorporated Morgan Hill, reads a post on the sheriff’s Facebook page.
The suspect, later identified as Jorge Ozuna Ramos, 22, caused about $1,300 worth of damage to the victim’s vehicle, according to authorities. Investigators determined Ramos was the culprit and issued a warrant for his arrest.
On Feb. 10, a home in Morgan Hill was burglarized, and the suspect stole more than $3,000 worth of shoes from the residence. Detectives think Ramos is the suspect in the Feb. 10 burglary as well, reads the social media post.
On Feb. 13, deputies located Ramos and arrested him for both the vandalism and burglary crimes, according to the sheriff’s office. When he was arrested, Ramos was in possession of burglary tools and illegal drugs. He was booked at Santa Clara County Main Jail.
