We, the Kiwanis, were putting flags on the poles in the downtown area of Morgan Hill, on both sides of Monterey Highway one late afternoon before the Memorial Day weekend.

When we finished we all stopped into a restaurant to eat. We’re all individuals and wanted separate checks. We were told that they don’t give separate checks to groups so we could all take separate tables and get separate checks. This seems ridiculous to us, so more than half of us left and went to Rosy’s where we can always get separate checks.

I’ve owned a restaurant and worked in restaurants in years past and I understand it takes a little more effort. However, what ever happened to customer service, giving the customer what they want and all that good stuff.

The bottom line to this is that there are many restaurants we don’t go to simply because they don’t give us any “love” or make us feel wanted. Perhaps we’re not wanted. What about all the other groups around town. How do you all feel about this??

Thanks for listening to my issue. I’m hoping our new upcoming restaurant in town, who will be taking over the former police station, is listening. We’d love to have some choices.
