Joshua Shipp, from Morgan Hill, a Machinist’s Mate 3rd Class, U.S. Navy, stationed on the U.S.S. Enterprise, found this “poem” in his e-mail from 1st Sgt. Dave Jobe of Baker Company.

Shipp decided to share Jobe’s “poem” with friends and families safe at home.

The proud warriors of Baker Company wanted to do something to pay tribute to their fallen comrades, Shipp said. One way they thought of remembering those who have been lost was by taking a picture of Baker Company, showing how they feel. As usual, pictures are worth several thousand words.

Baker Company wants the world to know this:

“We have not forgotten and are proud to serve our country. Semper Fi.”

Shipp and the crew of the Enterprise will soon be on their way to the Aegean Sea to help provide security for the upcoming Olympics.
