As the teen leader for our beef project I would like to inform you that through Aug. 3 there will be many 4-H and FFA members showing steers and then taking them through the auction at the Santa Clara County Fair.

I am with Pacheco Pass 4-H. Each year many of us raise steers. After many months of feeding, grooming, cleaning up after, and exercising our animals we are ready to take them to the fair.

I’m sure that all of you are wondering why I am writing this article. Well, I would like to let everyone know that we need buyers for our steers. Remember this will be the best beef you have ever tasted. We have pampered these animals so they will be so tasty. As in the past the Cattlewomen have sponsored the carcass contest and it has proven we have produced great beef.

I hope you will come out to the fair and see for your self the hard work we have put into our animals. Maybe you or someone you know would be interested in buying a project steer and supporting the youth of Santa Clara County. FFA and 4-H members will also be showing swine today, sheep beginning at 9 a.m. Wednesday and steers at 10 a.m. Thursday. The auction will be Aug. 3.

See you at the Santa Clara County Fair and auction.
