HONORS: Jordan Esquivel: Air Force Reserve Airman Jordan A. Esquivel graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Esquivel is the son of Sandra and Jorge Esquivel of Hollister and a 2012 graduate of Monterey County Home Charter School.

Christiana Agaliotis

Army PV2 Christiana E. Agaliotis has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied Army history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy and justice, first aid, foot marches and field training exercises.

Agaliotis is now stationed at Fort Rucker, Dothan, Ala.

She is the daughter of Carol Khan and David Agaliotis, Sr. and a 2012 graduate of Central High School in Morgan Hill.
