Kohler-Penney
Elizabeth Kohler, daughter of Mark and Peggy Kohler of Valencia, will marry Christopher Penney, son of Rod and Shelley Penney of Hollister July 30 in Camarillo. Kohler graduated from Cal State Northridge in 2003, and currently works at Pulte Homes. Penney, of Hollister, is also a graduate of Cal State Northridge and a member of the Pi Cappa Phi fraternity. He works with the State Compensation Insurance Fund
Domingues-Troxell
Laurie Domingues, daughter of Joan and Ron Domingues of Hollister, will marry John Troxell of Marina del Rey, son of Lisa and Fred Troxell, this October in Malibu. Domingues attended Hollister schools, and graduated from Chapman University in Orange with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts. She worked in television production for several years, and is currently a certified Pilates instructor. Troxell works as a camera operator on films and commercials in Hollywood.
Dalzell-Shetland
Kristina Louise Dalzell and Christipher Robert Shetland will marry Nov. 26 at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri. Dalzell, daughter of Fred and Helen Dalzell of Hollister, has an associate of arts degree in criminal justice from DeAnza College and is currently studying criminal justice at Hawaii Pacific University. She Joined the Army in 2001 as an intelligence analyst, and now holds the rank of sergeant at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii. Dalzell plans to attend law school. She is a 1998 graduate of San Benito High School
Shetland, son of Laura Brumble and Andrew Shetland of Connecticut, has an associate of arts degree in general studies from Central Texas College. He joined the National Guard in 1995 as a combat engineer and joined the Army in 1998. A veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, he was reclassified to prime power production specialist in 2001. Shetland currently holds the rank of staff sergeant, and will be stationed at Fort Leonard Wood as drill sergeant.
Bowles-Tamez
Loni Marie Bowles, daughter of Rose and the late David Bowles of Watsonville, will marry Shane Tamez, son of Gail and Al Tamez of Gilroy, July 23 at the San Juan Oaks Golf Club. Both are 2001 graduates of San Diego State University. Bowles received a bachelor of arts degree in public administration and Tamez received a bachelor of science degree in kinesiology. Bowles, a 1994 graduate of Aptos High School, is an office administrator and event meeting planner at SD Association. Tamez, a 1995 graduate of Gilroy High, is a teacher and coach at South Valley Middle School in Gilroy. Their wedding will be followed by a 10-day honeymoon in Cancún.

Misty Dawn Vis and Daniel Joseph Levario, both of Hollister, were married Saturday, May 7 at Hollister United Methodist Church. Reverend Ardyss Andreasen Golden presided.
Misty is the daughter of Donald Vis of Ripon, Calif. and Joyce Sellen of Hollister. Daniel is the son of Augustine and Carol Levario of Hollister. Both bride and groom attended local schools. Christie Lamb, best friend of the bride, was the maid of honor. Megan Asp; Debra Tollefsen and Elaine Levario, sister of the groom, were bridesmaids. Candace Bangham, daughter of the bride, and Dakota Watson served as junior bridesmaids.
Donny Vis Jr., brother of the bride, was the best man. Gabriel Levario, cousin of the groom; Matt and David Levario, brothers of the groom; Todd Allen Jr., cousin of the bride and Daniel Bangham, nephew of the bride served as groomsmen. Timothee Bangham, son of the bride, and Donny Vis III, nephew of the bride, were ring bearers. Amber Bangham, niece of the bride, and Courtney Vis, sister of the bride, were the flower girls.

Tiffani Delcrew, daughter of Wayne and Sue Delcrew, married Jeff Costa, son of Rich and Gloria Costa, May 14. Tiffani works for the Morgan Hill Unified School District, and Jeff is an electrician for Local 332.

Frank and Juanita Sendejas
Frank and Juanita Sendejas, formerly of Gilroy, celebrated 60 years of marriage on June 18. They attended a barbecue at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Carlos and Juanita Lopez. Frank and Juanita Sendejas lived in Gilroy for more than 50 years and now live in Elk Grove. The party, where the couple was toasted by their son Aurelio Sendejas and heard a family testimony by their granddaughter Nadia Lopez Perez, was attended by Mary and Ralph Avila of Gilroy, Lucy and Vince Bravo of Los Banos, Lucy and David Wood of Los Banos, Mike, Mary and Jodi Johnson of Morgan Hill and daughter-in-law Lourdes Sendejas and children Stevie, Sarah and Marissa Sendejas of Morgan Hill.
Malena Arvizu
Malena Arvizu received her Doctorate degree from Oregon State School of Veterinary Medicine May 29. Arvizu, a 1994 graduate of Gilroy High, also received a Baccalaureate degree in Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. During her four years of post-Baccalaureate work, Arvizu was awarded the George and Edna McDowell Scholarship, the Salsbury Veterinary Medicine Scholarship, the Merck Veterinary Manuel Award and the American Association of Feline Practitioners Award. Arvizu has accepted a position at the Evergreen Veterinary Clinic in San Jose.
