Dear Editor,
Your front page article (Rising from Its Ashes 02/28/06) by Matt King should have been in the editorial section. Some friends and I have patronized the Quail Canyon Inn as weekly regulars for a lot of years. I feel sure that had there been any rowdies I would have met one. As for fights, I would have probably have heard about that also. My guess is that Mr. King drove by the Quail one time, saw a few motorcycles and some classic cars and formed an opinion about the people who were there. An opinion he probably got from some old movie. From his article it would be hard to believe that he has ever been in the place. The reason I like the Quail is because the people have always been friendly and the mix is from the day laborer to the executive, both ladies and gentlemen. Another reason is the fine machinery which is almost always there. That is always a treat for us engineering types. As editor of the Morgan Hill Times I feel you should find Mr King a job he can do. Reporting facts is NOT one of the jobs he can handle.
