Despite 11 points from freshman Vanessa Gonzalez, the Sobrato girls basketball team fell to 2-10 overall Saturday, losing 64-41 at Leland High.

The Bulldogs are now 0-4 inside league play this year.

Sobrato could never keep up with Leland throughout the day. The Bulldogs received scoring from Simone Write, who scored nine points, and Raminque Randahawa and Hazel Hill, who each contributed eight points.

The Bulldogs will look for their first league win at 7 p.m. Tuesday when they travel to Evergreen.

Sobrato boys basketball

The Bulldogs lost their second consecutive league game Saturday, falling 39-31 to Branham. The loss came two days after the Bulldogs five-game winning streak was ended by Lincoln by the score of 54-42 in Morgan Hill.

Sobrato is now 9-6 overall and 3-2 inside the Blossom Valley Athletic League’s Santa Teresa Division.

The Bulldogs host Evergreen Valley at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Sobrato soccer

The Bulldogs’ girls soccer team fell to 2-5-2 Friday, after a 5-1 loss at the hands of Leland.

In the loss, freshman Kayla King was the lone bright spot. She scored the Bulldogs only goal during the defeat. In the net, keeper Hazel Sanz finished with six saves in the loss.

The Bulldogs look to get back in the win column Tuesday against Santa Teresa at the Morgan Hill Sports Complex. The game starts at 3:30 p.m.

The boys soccer team dropped to 0-5-2 with a 1-0 loss to Leland on Thursday. The Bulldogs return to the field at 3:15 p.m. Monday against Branham.
