ANDREW POONIA and AMANDA NARANJO won the Outstanding Student Achievement Award April 4 presented by ROTARY CLUB OF MORGAN HILL.
Andrew, a P.A. WALSH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL student, and Amanda, a SAN MARTIN/GWINN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL student, won the award from a candidate pool of all public and private schools in Morgan Hill.
Each student received a U.S. savings bond for future educational costs, an achievement certificate and a recognition luncheon for their parents and school officials at their schools.
The annual accolade is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Morgan Hill as an ongoing commitment for the youth of the community.
