The Policy Advisory Board (PAB) for the BART Extension to Milpitas, San Jose and Santa Clara on Monday selected two minimum operating segment (MOS) scenarios for further environmental evaluation along with the full project.
One MOS scenario includes five stations (Montague/Capitol, Alum Rock, Market Street, Diridon/Arena, and Santa Clara stations) to be built in the first phase of project construction. The other MOS scenario proposes to build all seven stations identified in the complete project in the first phase (Montague/Capitol, Berryessa, Alum Rock, Civic Plaza/SJSU, Market Street, Diridon/Arena, and Santa Clara Stations), but defers some parking at stations, vehicles, and maintenance facility capacity, based on 2015 demand projections.
Environmental reviews of the project are expected to be available for public review in March 2004
