Want to encourage your teens to pick up a book or two this summer? Have them sign up for Teen Summer Reading at the Morgan Hill Library.
Every teen (between the ages of 13 and 19) who signs up, reads a book, and stuffs the prize barrel with at least one book review card, has a chance to win. Each week, from June 2 through Aug. 2, one book review card will be drawn from the prize barrel, and the winner can choose either a $10 gift certificate to BookSmart Bookstore (in the downtown) or a one-year subscription to a favorite teen magazine. Winners can choose from a wide variety of popular teen magazines such as Teen People, Spin, ESPN, Elle Girl, or Transworld Stance.
And every teen can be a winner. Every finisher – who reads at least five books, and turns in at least five book review cards by Aug. 2 – will win their choice of the $10 Booksmart gift certificate or teen magazine subscription.
One lucky grand-prize winner, drawn from all the book review cards received, will even win a $50 gift certificate to BookSmart. So the more teens read, the more chances they have to win.
