ALAMEDA — The Oakland Raiders open the regular season in prime time for the second year in a row at home on Monday Night when the Silver and Black host the San Diego Chargers on Sept. 14 on ESPN.

The Raiders will take on the Chargers at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum in a game that begins at 7:15 p.m.

The Raiders then face the two other AFC West opponents and original AFL foes — in Kansas City against the Chiefs on Sunday, September 20, and at home to host the Denver Broncos on Sunday, Sept. 27.

Two road games in a row are next as the Silver and Black travel to Houston to play the Texans on Sunday, Oct. 4, then to the East Coast to face the New York Giants on Sunday, Oct. 11.

Oakland then returns home for two straight games — Oct. 18, against the Philadelphia Eagles, and Oct. 25 versus the New York Jets. The Raiders have a Week One rematch with the Chargers on Nov. 1.

Following a bye on Nov. 8, the Raiders are at home two more weeks in a row. Oakland hosts the Kansas City Chiefs on Nov. 15 and the Cincinnati Bengals on Nov. 22.

The Raiders then travel to Dallas to face the Cowboys in one of three nationally-televised games on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26. The contest marks the Raiders’ first Thanksgiving game since 1970.

On Sunday, Dec. 6, the Raiders travel to Pittsburgh to face the Steelers before returning home to face the Washington Redskins on Dec. 13 at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum.

The Raiders culminate the 2009 regular season with two out of three games on the road — against the Broncos in Denver on Dec. 20 and in Cleveland against the Browns on Dec. 27.

The Raiders will host the Baltimore Ravens in the regular season finale Jan. 3, 2010.
