I would like to comment on the new Safeway store going in Morgan
Hill.

I would like to comment on the new Safeway store going in Morgan Hill.
For all the problems the city has in approving other projects, (i.e. In-N-Out Burger and car dealerships), I don’t see how this Safeway got approved.
This Safeway is going in across the street from Nob Hill. We already have a Safeway in Morgan Hill, why would we need another. They will be within five minutes of each other.
There are no grocery stores in the north end of town but now we will have two in the south end of town. This makes no sense to me.
I would have preferred a specialty store such as Lunardi’s or Cosentino’s located in the north end of town.
