Through a new partnership with Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center and the Morgan Hill Unified School District, emerging and established entrepreneurs will receive expert advice, hands-on training, and continuous guidance to help them develop, launch and grow their ventures, says a press release from the City of Morgan Hill.
By participating in a combination of tailored mentoring and practical workshops offered in both English and Spanish, participants will gain the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate today’s ever-changing market dynamics.
“We are thrilled to launch this initiative that will create greater economic opportunities for all our residents,” said Edith Ramirez, City of Morgan Hill’s Assistant City Manager. “This initiative is a result of the City’s ELEVATE Morgan Hill program that seeks to support upward mobility and economic sustainability for all residents, particularly our Spanish-speaking community, by connecting residents with job opportunities, housing resources, and creating a stronger sense of belonging.”
The program will offer interactive workshops on business topics, including business plan fundamentals and social media marketing, city staff said. Classes will offer in-depth learning in a multi-week class series ranging from fine-tuning a startup idea to exploring ways to scale an existing operation.
One-on-one coaching by experienced business consultants will offer guidance in areas such as strategic planning, operations, financial management and marketing.
Classes start this summer at the Morgan Hill Community Adult School at 17960 Monterey Road, and continue throughout the following 12 months. One-on-one coaching will begin in the second half of June.
“We are excited to partner with the City of Morgan Hill to support local entrepreneurs with the training and resources they need to build thriving businesses,” said Sharon Miller, CEO of Renaissance. “We believe entrepreneurship drives economic mobility and strengthens communities, and we look forward to empowering small business owners in Morgan Hill to achieve lasting success.”
Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center has a reputation for empowering small business owners through coaching, training and access to resources, the press release continued. Operating in the Bay Area for more than 40 years, the organization has become known for its inclusive programming and dedicated staff of experts.
