A Gilroy man who pleaded guilty in June to sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl and attempting to sell the videotape to a co-worker was sentenced to 45 years to life in prison.

Pablo Enrique Castillo, 24, of Gilroy, was sentenced Monday morning in San Martin for committing four felonies, including three counts of aggravated sexual assault of a minor under the age of 14 and one count of creating child pornography for commercial purposes. Each count carried a 15-years-to-life prison term.

Castillo’s sentence of 45 years to life was part of a plea agreement with the district attorney. Castillo entered the guilty plea following opening arguments at his June 3 trial.
