EDITOR:
The night is silent,
And the clouds are still.
The wind is howling,
And the lights almost seem unreal.
The soldiers are out there, ready to fight
For their lives, but I know that when war
Starts hundreds will die.
So I pray each night, treasure each one. Knowing there will be the presence of a gun. children will die tonight, only because of one,
“Saddam Hussein” and “Osama Bin Laden”
Who will rest tonight? And give the children in Iraq, lessons on how to use a gun.
They won’t even think twice before they strike.
So that is why I will pray tonight.
When or if the missiles fly by,
I will pray tonight that no one will die.
So if you are breathing right now,
thank God for your life.
But if you pray, don’t forget to pray for the soldiers that fight for our country today!
Just think of the soldiers who say “Please God don’t let this be my last day, especially for my family who pray. There is one more thing that I have to say, Thank you God for letting people live day by day.”
