Cajun food coming soon to Morgan Hill

Red Phone, I’ve heard it’s possible the ponds near Centennial
Recreation Center may be done away with and my senior friends and I
would like to know if that is true? It’s the only pond in Morgan
Hill. Please, tell me they won’t take it away.

“Red Phone, I’ve heard it’s possible the ponds near Centennial Recreation Center may be done away with and my senior friends and I would like to know if that is true? It’s the only pond in Morgan Hill. Please, tell me they won’t take it away.”

Red Phone: Dear Keep the Ponds, Red Phone answered a similar question in April. Unfortunately, the ponds will eventually be replaced, according to Mori Struve, deputy director of the Morgan Hill Public Works Department. The Master Plan for Community Park Improvements consists of three phases of work. The first phase included new tennis courts and a new restroom building. This work was completed in 2004-05.

“Phase II improvements include the creation of play fields where the pond is now, water play features near the middle of the park, and an additional restroom building,” Struve said. “However, while planned for fiscal year 2013-14, funding for the Phase II improvements has not been approved.”

So while the ponds will be filled at some point, it’s at least three to four years away, so enjoy the ponds.

Boy reported missing is home safe

“Red Phone, there is a post on Facebook of a student who is missing? There are a lot of students concerned. As a parent so am I. Is this student a runaway or did someone kidnap him?”

Red Phone: Dear Is He Safe, Red Phone contacted Sgt. Jerry Neumayer, who said “all I can tell you is the boys is home safe.”

There you have it, good caller.
