Police are asking the public for help identifying and locating a man who allegedly held up a victim at knifepoint and stole his vehicle.

About 4:10pm Nov. 23, Morgan Hill Police took a report for a carjacking near a business at 15855 Monterey Road, according to a Dec. 11 press release from MHPD. The male suspect assaulted the victim and used a knife to force him out of his vehicle.

The suspect stole the victim’s white Chevrolet pickup. The truck was recovered hours later in San Martin by the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office, police said.

The victim suffered minor injuries and is recovering, according to police.

MHPD released photos of the suspect in an effort to gain information about his identity and/or whereabouts from the public. The photos were obtained by detectives from a neighboring business, which the suspect visited just before the carjacking.
