Fraud: Nob Hill Foods reported that an employee from Togo’s came in to get a $100 bill changed into $1 bills, and the $100 was a counterfeit. The report was taken on Sept. 14 at 11:50 a.m.
• A resident of Serpentine Court reported someone has opened credit card accounts in his name and withdrawn cash from his bank accounts. The report was taken at 10:08 a.m. on Sept. 15.
• Johnson Lumber reported someone charged items from the store to a company, but the suspect no longer works for the company. The suspect charged $600 on the account. The report was taken on Sept. 15 at 10:32 a.m.
• A Morgan Hill resident reported someone has used her checking account number and name on checks totaling $1,000 written to stores in Morgan Hill. The report was taken at 11:39 a.m. on Sept. 15.
Battery: A Morgan Hill resident called police to report his friend was assaulted by his boss. The resident told police he drove his friend to his boss’ house to pick up his paycheck, and when the boss opened the door he hit his friend in the face. The report was taken on Sept. 13 at 9:37 p.m.
Auto burglary: A Morgan Hill resident reported someone broke into his unlocked Chevy Blazer and stole a wallet containing credit cards, a personal ad a business checkbook and a briefcase. The report was taken on Sept. 11 at 7:28 a.m.
• A Morgan Hill resident reported he left a window of his vehicle down when it was parked at the Post Office, and someone stole his cell phone from the vehicle. The report was taken at 11:09 a.m. on Sept. 11.
• Four vehicles parked at the Terracina Apartments overnight were broken into. The report was taken on Sept. 15 at 7:56 a.m.
Burglary: The owner of vending machines at Live Oak High reported someone broke into one of his machines, cutting off the lock and drilling through the bolts. The suspect took $40 in cash and $60 in coins. The report was taken on Sept. 11 at 10:03 a.m.
• American Tooling reported recyclable metals were stolen from the recycling bins. The report was taken at 8:05 a.m. on Sept. 12.
• A resident of Oak Park Drive reported someone took the resident’s DVD player, cable box and CD burner. The suspect could have entered through the sliding glass door. The report was taken on Sept. 13 at 9:59 a.m.
• The Flying Dragon Chinese Restaurant reported someone came into the locked restaurant through a window overnight, damaging the window. It was not clear at the time of the report what was missing. The report was taken at 11:02 a.m. on Sept. 13.
Vandalism: A resident of the 16000 block of Lone Hill Drive reported his garbage can was kicked into the side of his Ford truck, damaging the vehicle. He told police this is an on-going problem, that he has had several problems with his neighbor’s son. The report was taken on Sept. 14 at 11:11 a.m.
Stolen vehicle: A Morgan Hill resident reported he parked his Subaru Legacy in the parking lot of the Lawrence Oaks shopping center near the Blockbuster video store overnight and it was stolen. The report was taken on Sept. 11 at 5:04 p.m.
• A trailer was stolen from the back of a business on Mast Street. The trailer had been chained to a post, and the chain was cut. The report was taken at 9:02 a.m. on Sept. 15.
Petty theft: A resident of the 2400 block of Huston Court reported outgoing bills placed in the mailbox the night before were gone early the next morning. The report was taken on Sept. 12 at 8:35 a.m.
• Jo Ann Fabrics and Crafts reported a female and two males came into the store several times and stole items. The report was taken at 6:20 p.m. on Sept. 13.
• A bucked swing valued at $360 was stolen from Galvan Park. The report was taken on Sept. 15 at 1:50 p.m.
• A resident of Teresa Lane reported mail was taken from her mailbox. The report was taken at 1:55 p.m. on Sept. 15.
