MORGAN HILL POLICE

Accident: A Morgan Hill resident at Sun Valley Market on Monterey Road reported that his parked vehicle was hit by a Ford Bronco whose driver fled the scene. The report was taken on Aug. 15 at 8:05 p.m.

Fraud: A Morgan Hill resident reported that he had a check stolen and was later cashed. The report was taken on Aug. 11 at 12:22 p.m.

• A Morgan Hill resident reported that she went to the post office and handed her mail containing checks to a person she thought was an employee. Now the checks are missing and $12,000 worth of checks have been cashed. The report was taken on Aug. 11 at 3:24 p.m.

• Longs Drug Store reported that a stolen check was attempted to be cashed. The suspects fled. The report was taken on Aug. 12 at 10:10 p.m.

• The owner of My Pizza reported that he received a check for a closed account. The report was taken on Aug. 13.

• A customer of Wireless World in the Vineyard Town center reported that after giving information for a phone, someone has been using his credit card. The report was taken Aug. 18.

Battery: A Morgan Hill resident flagged officers down reporting that she had been hit by her husband. The report was taken on Aug. 17 at 5:45 p.m.

Auto burglary: A resident of the 16700 block of Barnell Avenue reported that his brother’s car was broken into and the stereo was stolen. The report was taken on Aug. 11 at 4:07 p.m.

• A man at in the Target parking lot reported that his passenger side window was broken, and his briefcase was stolen. The report was taken on Aug. 11 at 4:58 p.m.

• A resident of the 800 block of English Walnut Court reported that he had two vehicles broken into and had tools stolen. The report was taken on Aug. 14 at 5:18 p.m.

• A resident of the 17100 block of Oak Leaf Drive reported that three of her vehicles were broken into. Nothing was reported stolen. The report was taken on Aug. 15 at 6:22 a.m.

• A resident of the 16900 block of Sara Jane Lane reported that a brief case was stolen out of his car containing his cell phone and wallet. The report was taken on Aug. 15 at 10:28 a.m.

• A resident of the 16900 block of John Telfer Drive reported her front license plate was stolen. The report was taken on Aug. 15 at 3:03 p.m.

• A Morgan Hill resident at Vineyard Cleaners in the Vineyard Town Center reported that his vehicle was broken into and stole multiple items. The report was taken on Aug. 16 at 6:17 p.m.

• A resident of the 17647 block of Crest Avenue reported that his vehicle was broken into and his stereo was stolen. The report was taken on Aug. 17 at 4 p.m.

• A man at Tennant Station near the Cinema 6 reported that his Jeep Wrangler was broken into and had some items stolen from his car. The report was taken on Aug. 17 at 9:32 p.m.

• A resident of the Del Monte Village Townhomes reported that someone broke into her Honda Civic and now her cell phone is missing. The report was taken on Aug. 18 at 8:32 a.m.

Robbery: Shell Gas Station on Monterey Road reported that an employee, at knife point, was told to empty the cash drawer. The report was taken on Aug. 18 at 1:50 p.m.

Burglary: An employee from Orbotech in Morgan Hill reported that an unknown amount of equipment was stolen from an office used as storage space. The report was taken on Aug. 12 at 11:41 a.m.

• A resident of the 100 block of Write Avenue reported that the laundry room was broken into and money was stolen from one of the machines. The report was taken on Aug. 17 at 12:24 a.m.

• A resident of the Cochrane Village Apartments reported that someone came into her apartment and stole a radio and $70 in cash. The report was taken on Aug. 18 at 9:55 a.m.

Vandalism: A resident of Jackson Oaks Drive reported that someone kicked in his car. The report was taken on Aug. 11 at 4:07 p.m.

• A resident of the 17600 block of Peak Avenue reported that someone scratched the hood of her car. The report was taken on Aug. 13 at 9:56 a.m.

• A resident of the 3200 block of E. Dunne Avenue reported that someone threw a rock through the window of his 1999 Honda Accord. The report was taken on Aug. 15 at 10:20 a.m.

• A resident of the 1300 block of Jasmine Way reported that someone sprayed his car with a hose and the windows were down. He reports that there is damage on the inside of the car. The report was taken on Aug. 17 at 8:55 p.m.

Stolen vehicle: A resident of the 700 block of Easy Street reported a 2000 Honda Civic was stolen. The report was taken on Aug. 16 at 12:35 p.m.

Grand theft: A resident of the 2500 block of Palomino Court reported more than $2,000 worth of property was taken from his home while it was being repaired. The report was taken on Aug. 11 at 1:27 p.m.

• A resident of the 200 block of Del Monte Circle reported that someone broke into his car and stole a Palm Pilot and sunglasses. The report was taken on Aug. 12 at 10:49 a.m.

• Round Table Pizza reported that someone took $4,500 worth of bank deposits. The report was taken on Aug. 18 at 7:53 p.m.

Petty theft: A resident of the 17400 block of Calle Del Sol reported his son’s bicycle was stolen from the bike rack on their vehicle. The report was taken on Aug. 7 at 12:21 p.m.

• A resident of the 16300 block of San Ramon Drive reported that someone broke into his garage and took the registration out of his vehicle. The report was taken on Aug. 7 at 1:47 p.m.

• A resident of the Creekside Village Townhomes reported that someone stole his bicycle out of his open garage. The report was taken on Aug. 9 t 4:35 p.m.

• A Morgan Hill resident reported her cell phone stolen at a party on Sundance Court. The report was taken on Aug. 9 at 6:45 p.m.

• A woman at the Best Western Country Inn on Condit Road reported her back license plate was stolen. The report was taken on Aug. 10 at 11:09 a.m.
