Burglary:
n A burglar cut through three cyclone fences, entered a parking lot at SBC sub station, 20 California Ave. and Monterey Road in San Martin, broke into two lock boxes and stole test equipment worth about $7,000 from a white 2000 Chevy 3500 pickup between 4pm April 27 and 7:30am April 28.
n A burglar forced open a storage room at Casa de Fruta Orchard Resort on Pacheco Pass Highway between 6pm April 25 and 7am April 26 and took bleach, garbage bags and latex gloves, then broke into another storage shed and took tools and a weed blower. The burglar also attempted to open a main gate with a vehicle, leaving white paint on the gate and a broken license plate frame.
n Arthur Louis Quinoneo, 35, of 8282 Murray Ave. in Gilroy, and Leashann Nicole Yoshizaki, 27, of 635 W. San Martin Ave. in San Martin, were arrested by sheriff’s deputies at 10:15am April 25 at Santa Teresa Boulevard and Mesa Road. Quinoneo was seen at the Gavilan College parking lot looking in cars while Yoshizaki was on the lookout, before a Gavilan security guard scared them off. Quinoneo is on active CDC parole and was found in possession of spark plug chips; he was booked in the Main Jail for possession of burglary tools and violation of parole. Yoshizaki was cited and released for possession of drug paraphernalia.
n A burglar forced entry into a 1988 Toyota pickup at Casa Lane and Main Street in Morgan Hill and stole a stereo, binoculars and a flashlight from the cab of the truck between 11:30pm April 24 and 5:45am April 25.
n Burglars entered a residence at Harding and California avenues in San Martin between noon April 23 and 9pm April 24 and ate cookies, candy, drank sodas and caused $385 in damage to two closet doors.
n A victim, who is an employee at Gavilan College, parked a 1998 Ford XLT truck at the school’s parking lot E between 8:55 and 10am April 23 only to find that a burglar had smashed the right passenger side window and stolen several CDs and a palm pilot.
n A burglar broke the passenger side window to a 1999 Acura Integra between noon and 3pm April 19 at Gavilan College and stole a victim’s purse with an ATM card, $60 cash and a checkbook.
n A burglar smashed a window at St. Francis Spay Clinic on Murphy Avenue in San Martin, as reported at 6:50am May 10. Nothing was taken from the commercial building.
n A burglar entered a locked car at Hale and Live Oak avenues and stole power tools, between June 1, 2004 and May 10, 2005, as reported at 3:32pm May 10. Two plastic gas cans were taken and a burglar attempted to steal a green Ford truck prior to the power tools being stolen.
n A burglar was seen on a video surveillance tape entering an unlocked and open front gate at a company on Center Avenue in San Martin and cutting about 100 feet of a plastic green house wall, as reported at 8:30am May 11.
n A burglar entered a residence on Lincoln Avenue in San Martin through the rear door and stole a X-Box, Playstation Two and about 25 DVD movies, as reported at 9:40pm May 15.
Theft:
n A thief stole the keys from the door of Rocca’s Market on Monterey Highway in San Martin at 9:40am April 13. The victim had left the keys in the door and when he remembered he went to get them, but they were gone.
n James Michael Yamamoto, 42, of 8120 Las Animas Court in Gilroy, was arrested and booked in the Main Jail by sheriff’s deputies at 6:29pm April 14 at Columbet Avenue and Hager Court in San Martin, for possession of stolen property. Yamamoto was arrested on a felony warrant when he was searched and found with a credit card that was reported stolen.
n A thief stolen a student’s drawing in the Gavilan College library on Santa Teresa Boulevard between 8am April 18 and 6pm April 20. The drawing was on display with 40 other drawings.
