• An employee of the Mushrooms Grille and Bar on West Main Avenue reported her paycheck for $298.51 was stolen and cashed. The report was taken at 9:09am.
• The Goddess Bead Shop on Monterey Road reported the business deposit bag containing $200 in cash and $200 in checks, was stolen from the front counter of the business. The report was taken at 9:41am.
• An employee of the McDonald’s restaurant in the Cochrane Plaza shopping center reported the business received several counterfeit $20 bills. One of them was handed to her by a “very nervous” older male. She told police she wrote down the license number of the vehicle. The report was taken at 10:28am.
• A GMC Safari was broken into while parked at Quality Time on Tennant Avenue. The stereo was stolen from the van. The report was taken at 11:30am.
• American Mat and Frame Company on San Pedro Avenue reported someone slashed two company banners, and two were stolen. The banners are valued at $50 each. The report was taken at 3:27pm.
July 23
• A Morgan Hill resident reported someone took a shopping cart and rolled it down the steep hill on West Third Street, crashing into their vehicle. A rear light was broken, and the vehicle was scratched. The report was taken at 10:56am.
• Cinelux Theaters in Tennant Station Way reported a male pulled a dispenser in the men’s restroom off the wall. An employee was able to identify the suspect. The report was taken at 11:37pm.
July 24
• A home on Edwin Jones Court was burglarized overnight, reported a neighbor who is house-sitting for the owners. She told police she found the front window shattered, but was not sure if anything was stolen. The report was taken at 3:41pm.
• Albertson’s grocery store on Monterey Road reported three males stole meat, beer and other groceries from the store. Employees were able to give police a description of the car they fled in and its license plate number. The report was taken at 4pm.
July 25
• A resident of the 18200 block of Christeph Drive reported someone “shot out” the rear window of her Lincoln Navigator overnight. The report was taken at 6:08am.
• Terracina Apartments reported a soda machine was vandalized and broken into overnight. The report was taken at 10:18am.
• A resident of West First Street reported his and his girlfriend’s vehicles – a Ford Taurus and a Nissan Altima – were broken into overnight. A wallet was stolen containing cash and credit cards. The report was taken at 10:41am.
• A Morgan Hill resident reported their Oldsmobile minivan was broken into while parked in the overflow parking lot on Condit Road. A camera was stolen. The report was taken at 2:19pm.
• A resident of the 17400 block of Del Monte Avenue reported their locked Honda Pilot was broken into overnight. The radio was stolen, and there were scratches found around the ignition, as if the suspect(s) was trying to steal the vehicle. The report was taken at 3:46pm
July 26
• A resident of the 17000 block of Pine Way reported her tenant gave his son the key to the residence, and the son and his friends “trashed” the home. The report was taken at 11:43am.
• A Morgan Hill resident reported their locked Ford Ranger was broken into while it was parked in the CalTrain lot during the day. The radio was stolen from the vehicle. The report was taken at 9:26pm.
July 27
• A resident of the 16500 block of Del Monte Avenue reported she arrived home from work to find her front door open. There was an open window in the residence as well. She told police that her missing daughter may have been the one who was in the house, but she was not sure. She also suspects it could have been a neighbor girl who is friends with her daughter. Her bedroom, which she told police she always keeps locked, was broken into. The report was taken at 12:47am.
• Someone at the former Abbot Labs on Jarvis Drive reported he is receiving threatening e-mails from an ex-security officer he dismissed. The report was taken at 9:08am.
• A Morgan Hill resident reported his briefcase and wallet were stolen from his unlocked Volvo while it was parked on Monterey Road and First Street. The report was taken at 10:51am.
• A resident of the Woodland Estates Mobile Home Park reported her electric motor scooter and its charger were stolen from her driveway. The report was taken at 11:45am.
