MORGAN HILL POLICE

Threats: A resident of an apartment in the 17900 block of Crest Avenue reported she has been having problems for the past few months with a “peeping Tom.” She told police she has found footprints near her bedroom window and that her neighbors also have the same footprints by their bedroom window. The report was taken on Dec. 26 at 12:43.

Burglary: A resident of the 16900 block of Sorrel Court reported that someone “jimmied” the side door to the garage overnight and took hand tools, a tool box and family heirloom items. The report was taken on Dec. 24 at 9:58 a.m.

• Another resident of the 16900 block of Sorrel Court reported someone broke into the garage and stole several items. The resident said he came home and found the garae door open and the vehicle which was parked inside also ransacked. The report was taken at 10:54 p.m. on Dec. 24.

• A resident of Cordova Court reported someone entered the residence and took a television and a Playstation. There was no obvious entry point, the resident told police. The report was taken on Dec. 25 at 9:48 p.m.

• A resident of the 16900 block of Sorrel Court reported that a burglar returned to the residence a second time, entered the garage and stole a television set and mirrors that an MHPD officer had dusted for prints after the original burglary. The report was taken at 11:25 a.m. on Dec. 26.

• A resident of the Village Avante Aparment Homes reported someone broke into the residence through a rearl sliding door and stole a washer and dryer. The report was taken on Dec. 26 at 11:29 a.m.

Vandalism: A resident of the 17000 block of Elaine Court reported two tires on her son’s vehicle were slashed overnight. The report was taken on Dec. 24 at 8:43 a.m.

• A Morgan Hill resident reported the rear window of the resident’s Corvette was shattered while it was parked in the Cochrane Plaza shopping center. The rpeort was taken at 3:58 p.m. on Dec. 26.

• A resident of the 19100 block of Blue Lynx Street reported someon broke th lock to the side yard gate and jammed the gate. The resident also said someone moved things around in the yard. She told police her car was vandalized two weeks before. The report was taken on Dec. 27 at 11:27 a.m.

Tampering with a vehicle: A resident of the 16100 block of Keith Way reported someone took the back license plate from his Ford Probe. The report was taken at 11:03 a.m. on Dec. 24.

Auto burglary: Someone reported papers stolen from an unlocked Nissan Sentra parked in the Cochrane Plaza shopping center. The report was taken on Dec. 21 at 7:39 p.m.

• Someone reported packages stolen out of the trunk of a Toyota Corolla while it was parked in the Cochrane Plaza shopping center; the person told police the suspect was spotted driving out of the parking lot and appeared to have other items and bags of things in the rear of the vehicle, so there could be other victims. The report was taken at 8:18 p.m. on Dec. 21.

• A guest at the Residence Inn reported her locked rental Pontiac Grand Am was broken into. A window was broken and some gifts were taken from the vehicle. The report was taken on Dec. 22 at 8:56 a.m.

• A Morgan Hill resident reported his unlocked vehicle was broken into the night before while it was parked in the Cochrane Plaza shopping center. He told police his registration was stolen. The report was taken at 10:21 a.m. on Dec. 22.

• A resident of the Archstone Apratments reported the rear window of his locked Cadillac Deville was shattered and his CD player and speakers were stolen. The report was taken on dec. 24 at 12:45 p.m.

• A resident of the Terracina Apartments reported soeone broke into his Chevy Silverado and stole the stereo and his wallet containing $300 in cash. The report was taken at 5:04 p.m. on Dec. 24.

• A resident of the Terracina Apartments reported her Honda Accord was moved from where she left it parked to near the entrance to the complex and the stereo had been stolen. She told police whoever moved the Honda left behind a set of keys. The report was taken on Dec. 26 at 7:59 a.m.

• A Morgan Hill resident reported his locked truck was broken into while it was parked at the Shadow Mountain Baptist Church on Dec. 19 and his wallet and checkbook were stolen. The report was taken at 2:49 p.m. on Dec. 26.

• A resident of the Acacia Mobile Home Park reported the resident’s Ford Escort was broken into and a CD player and CD’s were stolen. Tools apparently used to break into the vehicle were left behind. The report was taken on Dec. 27 at 5:38 p.m.

• A resident of Creekside Lane reported a friend’s Dodge Ram truck was broken into while parked at the residence. a Dewalt tool set, 18-volt battery operated power saw, a sabersaw, a drill and a flashlight were stolen from the truck. The report was taken at 8:48 a.m. on Dec. 28.

• A resident of Casa Grande Court reported she was taking care of her neighbors’ house while they were away and noticed the neighbors’ daughter’s vehcile, a Toyota Tercel, parked in the driveway has a smashed window. the neighbor didn’t know if anything was stolen from the Toyota, but it had been ransacked. The report was taken on Dec. 28 at 9:19 a.m.

Stolen vehicle: A resident of the Village Avante Apartment Homes reported her Honda Civic stolen. The report was taken on Dec. 25 at 5:17 p.m.

• The grandson of a resident of La Crosse Drive reported his Honda was stolen while parked in front of his grandfather’s residence. The report was taken at 12:36 p.m. on Dec. 27.

Fraud: A resident of the 14700 block of Knopf Court reported checks stolen from her home have been cashed in Morgan Hill at the BigK, Target and Round Table, among others. The report was taken on Dec., 16 at 6:48 p.m.

• A resident of the 2000 block of Mira Bella Circle reported his credit card number is being used by someone else. A variety of charges have been made to the account; the thief is also staying at the Hotel Nikko in San Francisco and charging the bill to the account. The report was taken at 9:52 p.m. on Dec. 19.

Grand theft: A resident of Cimarron Drive reported a former rommate took items from her home and is selling them. The report was taken on Dec. 26 at 8:38 p.m.

Petty theft: Live Oak High students reported money stolen from two purses during the Feb. 14 school dance. The amounts, $35 and $50, were stolen from two separate victims. The report was taken at 10:26 a.m. on Dec. 17.

• Someone reported her purse stolen from her shopping cart while she was in Longs Drugs. The purse contained her cell phone, a coin purse, credit cards and $250 in cash. The report was taken on Dec. 19 at 2:12 a.m.

• A resident of the 16700 block of San Luis Way reported someone stole a $100 Christmas wreath from the door of the residence. The report was taken at 11:05 a.m. on Dec. 20.

• An employee of My Pizza told police his cell phone was stolen from the front counter of the residence. The report was taken on Dec. 20 at 3:53 p.m.

• Two pink flamingos were stolen from the front yard of a residence in the 17500 block of Serene Drive. The resident saw the juveniles who took them. The report was taken at 9:20 p.m. on Dec. 21.

• A resident of the Terracina Apartments reported someone attempted to steal a bike from his front porch. The report was taken on Dec. 24 at 2:49 a.m.

• Someone reported his cell phone was stolen while he was at the 7-11 store. The report was taken at 12:39 p.m. on Dec. 24.

• Someone reported a cell phone stolen from one of the booths at the Flea Market. the report was taken on Dec. 26 at 3:12 p.m.
