• The book return at the Morgan Hill Library on Peak Avenue was vandalized; a “gooey substance” was jammed into the book return, and there was writing on the front of the return. The report was taken at 3:51pm on Feb. 20.
•A resident of Murphy Ranch Apartment homes reported the resident’s Ford Focus was “egged” overnight. The report was taken on Feb. 23 at 11:48am.
• A Morgan Hill resident reported someone threw a rock at her Suburban from the train trestle at Monterey Road and Old Monterey Road. The windshield of the Suburban was shattered. The report was taken at 8:42pm on Feb. 24.
• Another victim reported a rock thrown through the windshield of the vehicle from the train trestle. The vehicle was a Ford pickup. The report was taken on Feb. 24 at 9:35pm.
• Weston Miles Architects reported 8-10 broken windows at the construction site of the new office building, the former granary, on Depot Street overnight. The report was taken at 11:29am on Feb. 25.
• The Morgan Hill Library on Peak Avenue reported someone is putting screws in the tires of employee vehicles while they are parked at the library. The report was taken on Feb. 25 at 12:09pm.
• The front window of a business on East Main Avenue was shattered overnight. The report was taken at 2:03pm on Feb. 25.
• Carlos Barber Shop on Monterey Road reported that a window of the business was shattered, 30 minutes before the report was made. The report was taken on Feb. 26 at 12:15pm.
• 99 cents and Over on West Main Avenue reported someone spray-painted the business truck that was parked in the business parking lot. The report was taken at 11:14am on March 6.
• A Live Oak High teacher reported she found a knife in the tire of her Ford Ranger, which was parked at the school. She told police this is the third time her Ford has been vandalized. The report was taken on March 6 at 6:33pm.
Battery:
• Ernie’s Bar and Grill on Monterey Road reported the bartender was assaulted by a patron, who left with her boyfriend. The bartender was hit in the head. The report was taken at 7:25pm on Feb. 24.
Petty theft:
• A resident of the 100 block of Berkshire Drive reported a portable basketball hoop, valued at $300, was stolen from the residence. The report was taken on Feb. 22 at 7:23pm.
• A resident of East Second Street reported mail stolen from the resident’s mailbox. The resident thinks a credit card number may have been used but was not positive. The report was taken at 3:37pm on Feb. 25.
