Stolen vehicle: A resident of West Fifth Street reported his Eagle Talon was stolen overnight. The report was taken on April 3 at 7:59 a.m.
• A Dodge pickup was stolen from the Mt. Madonna YMCA between March 30 and April 5. The report was taken at 2:14 p.m. on April 5.
• A Chevy S10 was stolen from a residence on East Fifth Street the day before. The vehicle owner has a suspect in mind. The report was taken on April 5 at 4:30 p.m.
• A resident of the Cochrane Village Apartments reported the resident’s Honda Prelude was stolen overnight. The report was taken at 5:59 a.m. on April 13.
Tampering with a vehicle: A resident of East Edmundson Avenue reported the rear license plate was stolen from his Honda Accord overnight. The report was taken on April 4 at 9:21 a.m.
• An employee of Putnam Logistics reported the rear license plate from his Ford Taurus was stolen two weeks earlier. The report was taken at 1:08 p.m. on April 5.
• A resident of Cochrane Village Apartments reported someone placed a jack under her Honda Civic and stole the right rear tire from the vehicle. The report was taken on April 9 at 6:29 a.m.
• A resident of the 500 block of Farallon Drive reported the rear license plate was stolen from the resident’s vehicle. The report was taken at 11:54 a.m. on April 13.
• A resident of the 600 block of Claremont Drive reported her rear license plate was stolen from her Ford Explorer overnight. The report was taken on April 14 at 6:47 a.m.
Grand theft: Kragen Auto Parts reported two males came into the store, one of them distracted the clerk while the other took a go cart. The report was taken on April 4 at 8:22 p.m.
• Verizon reported items were stolen over the weekend from several company vehicles and a shed. The report was taken at 7:31 a.m. on April 12.
Petty theft: A resident of La Crosse Drive reported a bike valued at approximately $200-300 was taken from the residence on March 30 or 31. The report was taken on April 1 at 2:11 p.m.
• A Morgan Hill resident reported her wallet was stolen from her purse while she was at the library. The report was taken at 5:44 p.m. on April 5.
• A cell phone was stolen approximately one month earlier from Britton Middle School. The report was taken on April 7 at 2:29 p.m.
• A downtown employee reported seeing two juveniles throw a bike over the embankment, then coming back later to get the bike. South Valley Bike reported a bike was stolen while one of two juveniles was ordering parts. The report was taken at 6:16 p.m. on April 9.
• Chevron reported a male stole a pack of cigarettes. The report was taken on April 10 at 3 a.m.
SHERIFF
Theft: Someone stole more than $3,000 worth of CDs from a vehicle at Day & Night Towing Yard, 13165-C Monterey Road in San Martin, between 3-5 p.m. on March 17. The grand theft was reported at 10 p.m. on March 23.
• Two tee mats, two tee markers and a flag pole were stolen from the Gavilan Golf Course, 5050 Santa Teresa Boulevard, between 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 21 and 7 a.m. on Monday, March 22. The suspects created numerous divots in the first green. The incident was reported at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, March 22.
• Unknown suspect(s) dug a 18 by 24 inch trench along a fence at a San Martin business at 13895 Llagas Ave., entered the property and stole five in-dash stereos worth a total of about $1,000 from five vehicles.
• Someone stole 3 hanging plants and 2 ceramic pots worth about $300 from Syngenta Seeds Inc., 7240 Holsclaw Road in Gilroy, between 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 3 and 6 a.m. on Sunday, April 4, as reported to Sheriff’s deputies at 12:45 p.m. on Monday, April 5.
• Someone stole a scooter worth about $250 from a mobile home between midnight and 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 4. Suspects are still at large for the petty theft reported to Sheriff’s deputies at 10:15 a.m. on Sunday, April 4.
• Unknown suspect(s) took tools worth about $940 from a San Martin backyard between 1 p.m. on Jan. 14 and 3 p.m. on Feb. 1. The theft was reported to Sheriff’s deputies at 4:30 p.m. on March 30.
Forgery: An unknown suspect tried to cash a fake $100 bill at a San Martin business, at about 1:20 p.m. on March 31.
Vehicle violations: Sheriff’s deputies arrested Eleuterio Reynoso at 5 p.m. on March 30, at Monterey Highway and San Martin Avenue in San Martin under suspicion of a vehicle infraction of being parked near a railroad crossing and a misdemeanor of resisting/delaying an officer. Suspect was cited and released.
