Auto burglary: A resident of the Monte Vista Apartments reported the resident’s Toyota was broken into overnight and the stereo was stolen. The report was taken on May 4 at 8:32 a.m.

• A resident of the 16700 block of Barnell Avenue reported that someone stole the stereo from his vehicle which was parked in the garage. Both the garage and the vehicle were unlocked. The report was taken at 8:26 p.m. on May 4.

Threats: A resident of East Edmundson Avenue reported her son was threatened by a known suspect with a gun. The suspect spit in her son’s face, she told police and threatened him. The report was taken on May 1 at 1:04 p.m.

• A resident of Del Monte Avenue reported receiving threatening and vulgar phone calls from a known suspect. The report was taken at 7:22 p.m. on May 2.

Fraud: A resident of the Cochrane Village Apartments reported someone stole checks from her apartment and is cashing them. The report was taken on May 1 at 12:16 p.m.

Burglary: The driver of a delivery truck reported when he arrived at Starbucks the lights were on and the safe was open. The alarm was not turned on the night before. The report was taken on May 1 at 4:02 a.m.

Battery: A Morgan Hill resident reported her boyfriend was hitting her and pushing her out of the house. He threw her to the ground and hit her in the face with a piece of clothing, she told police. The report was taken on May 3 at 4:19 p.m.

Child abuse: A Morgan Hill resident reported she found some sexual pictures of her 6-year-old daughter in her brother’s bedroom. The resident told police her brother is deaf and he lives in her home. The report was taken on May 2 at 7:14 p.m.

Petty theft: Target reported someone stole three cell phones from the store before closing the night before. The report was taken on May 2 at 12:44 p.m.

• Super Mercado reported three teens stole beer from the store. The report was taken at 2:56 p.m. on May 3.

• A resident of Oak Park Drive reported a wooden bear was stolen from her yard overnight on April 23. The report was taken on May 4 at 1:34 p.m.

• A resident of Tolusa Court reported two of his credit card bills were opened and the bills stolen. The report was taken at 8:26 p.m. on May 4.

• Bargain Hunters reported a purse was stolen from the counter by two juveniles. The report was taken at 11:08 a.m. on May 7.

• Sinaloa Cafe reported a customer “dined and dashed.” The report was taken on May 7 at 8:24 p.m.

Theft: Someone stole a white, two-door, 1992 Toyota Celica between April 2 and May 10, as reported to Sheriff’s deputies at 1 p.m. Monday, May 10.

• Somebody stole a Sony digital camcorder worth about $899 between May 5 and May 7, as reported to Sheriff’s deputies at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 10.

• Someone stole a white, four-door, 1991 Toyota Corolla between 7:45 and 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, as reported to Sheriff’s deputies at 10:42 p.m. that night.

• Somebody stole checks from a female victim in Gilroy between April 15 and 28 and used them to buy $215 worth of items. The theft was reported to Sheriff’s deputies at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 12.

• Unknown suspects cut the lock on a construction trailer and stole $5,525 worth of tools between 8 a.m. Saturday, May 15 and 5 p.m. Sunday, May 16, as reported to Sheriff’s deputies.

• Someone stole $599.48 worth of steel rebar from a front yard in Gilroy between 5 p.m. Friday, May 14 and 9 a.m. Saturday, May 15, as reported to Sheriff’s deputies at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 15.
