Vandalism: A resident of Carriage Drive reported her car was egged overnight, along with 12 other cars on her street. The report was taken at 11:43am.

July 22

Identity theft: A resident of Lancia Drive reported someone opened two credit cards in the resident’s name on June 19 and June 20. Approximately $3,800 was charged to the cards. The report was taken at 9:39am.

Burglary: A resident of John Telfer Drive reported someone attempted to break into his house through a garage door. The report was taken at 7:31pm.

July 23

Auto burglary: A resident of Fountain Avenue reported someone broke a window of their camper shell and tried to enter the vehicle through the back window. The vehicle was also keyed. The report was taken at 10:12am.

Vandalism: A resident of La Jolla Drive reported their vehicle was damaged overnight. The resident told police it appeared as if someone used sandpaper on the vehicle. The report was taken at 2:13pm.

Grand theft: Safeway grocery store in Tennant Station shopping center reported several suspects stole a vending machine from the gas station. The report was taken at 9:44pm.

Arson: A juvenile suspect started a fire in a trash can near the baseball field at Live Oak High School. The report was taken at 11:01pm.

July 24

Vandalism: A window in the cafeteria at P.A. Walsh Elementary School was broken over the weekend. Nothing was stolen. The report was taken at 10:07am.

July 25

Burglary: Mervyn’s reported a storage container was broken into and two paint sprayers were stolen. The sprayers are valued at approximately $7,500. The report was taken at 8:03am.

Burglary: Old Republic Title Company on Monterey Road reported someone attempted to break into the business. Pry marks were found on a garage door of the property. The report was taken at 9:59am.

Petty theft: A Morgan Hill resident reported their backpack was stolen while they were at the Aquatic Center. The backpack contained a wallet, cell phone, keys, digital camera, clothes, kids’ clothes and shoes. The report was taken at 4:04pm.

July 26

Vandalism: A Ford Focus parked on Peak Avenue was vandalized approximately one month ago. The tires were slashed. The report was taken at 1:38pm.

Arrests:

Antonio S. Calderon, 33, was booked into Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence. The report was taken on July 22 at 1:51am.

Gloria M. Velador, 47, was booked into Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. The report was taken on July 23 at 10:37pm.
