Child abuse: A Morgan Hill juvenile reported her mother hit her on her back with a belt, leaving a mark on her back. She told police she did not want her mom to go to jail. The report was taken at 4:42pm.

Fraud: A Morgan Hill resident reported a suspect opened a Chase account and a Mervyn’s account using her name. The report was taken at 6:04pm.

June 9

Vandalism: A resident of Manor Court reported their fence was knocked down, and their vehicle was hit with one of the fence boards. The report was taken at 6:31am.

Vandalism: Paradise Valley Elementary School reported graffiti on the bridge between the school and the park. The report was taken at 7:34am.

Petty theft: Denny’s restaurant on Cochrane Road reported three male suspects walked out without paying for $30.33 in food at 3:43am. The report was taken at 8:32am.

Auto burglary: Two locked vehicles were broken into while parked at Community Park. Windows were broken, and purses and other items were stolen from the vehicles. The report was taken at 7:43pm.

Auto burglary: A briefcase was stolen from a locked vehicle while it was parked at the Coldwell Banker in Tennant Station shopping center. A window of the vehicle was broken. The report was taken at 9:17pm.

June 10

Vandalism: A resident of Brega Court reported someone attempted to kick in the side door to his garage, but nothing appears to be missing. The report was taken at 9:59am.

Vandalism: A resident of the Madrone Mobile Estates reported their stepson threw something through the windshield of their vehicle. The report was taken at 1:23pm.

June 11

Vandalism: A resident of Shasta Lane reported someone egged their front door and spread human feces “all over.” The report was taken at 10am.

Petty theft: Kragen Auto Parts on Tennant Avenue reported a male suspect stole an $80 ladder. The report was taken at 1:29pm.

Grand theft: Someone stole approximately one dump truck load of bricks, valued at approximately $500, form a construction site on Monterey Road at the site of the former Gunter Brothers Feed Company. The fence surrounded the site was unbolted, and a sign saying “Free Bricks” was left at the site. The report was taken at 2:12pm.

Grand theft: A resident of Raccoon Court reported she was away for the week and when she returned home she found her jewelry was missing, and several drawers and closets were open. The told police she gave her key to two separate construction crews doing work on her house while she was away. The report was taken at 3:31pm.

Stolen vehicle: A tow dolly was stolen from a property on Diana Avenue. The report was taken at 5:13pm.

Petty theft: A Morgan Hill resident reported $200 and a credit card were stolen from her purse when she was at a party June 3 on Live Oak Lane. The report was taken at 9:38pm.

June 12

Battery: A maintenance worker at the Cochrane Village Apartments reported he was assaulted by a resident. He told police he approached the resident to talk to him about washing his vehicle in an area where it is not allowed. He said the resident said “I don’t give a (profanity) about you or your rules, and as he attempted to write down the license plate number of the resident’s Nissan Pathfinder, the resident shoved him. The report was taken at 11:16am.

Petty theft: A Morgan Hill resident reported their son’s bike, valued at approximately $227.74, was stolen from El Toro Elementary School on June 9 while the son was on a field trip. The report was taken at 1:16pm.

Defraud Innkeeper: Denny’s restaurant on Cochrane Road reported three juveniles ran out after taking $57 worth of food. The report was taken at 10:52pm.

June 13

Threats: A resident of Excaliber Drive reported she received a threatening call on her cell phone. She told police she suspects someone but cannot prove it. The report was taken at 11:06am.

Stolen vehicle: A Morgan Hill resident reported her son’s Corvette was stolen from his residence on Mendecino Way. The report was taken at 6:42pm.

Arrests:

Laura Hernandez, 24, was cited and released on suspicion of driving under the influence. The report was taken May 21 at 9:10pm.

Michael A. Sanchez, 24, was booked into Santa Clara County Jail on a warrant from another law enforcement agency. The report was taken May 24 at 6:11pm.

Carlos Campos, 20, was cited and released on suspicion of driving under the influence, and Juan S. Perez, 19, was cited and released on suspicion of being drunk in public. The report was taken May 25 at 12:22am.

A 38-year-old male was booked into county jail for alleged domestic battery. The report was taken May 25 at 11:23pm.

Leo Sausedo, 24, was booked into county jail for alleged assault with a deadly weapon. The report was taken May 26 at 10:05am.
