February 8

  • Burglary: Morgan Hill Moving & Storage on Mast Street reported two trailers on the property were broken into overnight, and equipment was stolen from the trailers. The report was taken at 7:44am.

  • Grand theft: A teacher a Live Oak High School reported his laptop computer was stolen from his classroom during his fifth period class on Feb. 6. The Compaq Presario is valued at $1,493. The report was taken at 9:48am.

  • Fraud: A resident of Carriage Drive reported someone stole checks for their old account, which has been closed for six or seven years. The suspect is writing checks on the closed account and forging their name. The report was taken at 3:56pm.

February 9

  • Auto burglary: A Morgan Hill resident reported her Ford Expedition was broken into while parked at the Xtreme Fitness on Jarvis Drive. A window was shattered, and her purse was stolen from the Expedition. The report was taken at 6:32an.

  • Auto burglary: A Morgan Hill resident reported a backpack containing CDs and a wallet with $60 in cash was stolen on Feb. 8 from their unlocked vehicle while it was parked on West Dunne Avenue. The report was taken at 10:55pm.

  • Stolen vehicle: A Chevy pickup with a camper top was stolen and seen driving on Claremont Drive. The report was taken at 11:44am.

  • Auto burglary: A Morgan Hill resident reported their Jeep Grand Cherokee was broken into while parked at the Park and Ride at Main and Hale Avenues. A rock was used to shatter the windows, and two iPods and cash were stolen from the vehicle. The report was taken at 7:02pm.

  • Auto burglary: A Morgan Hill resident reported she caught two male juveniles stealing her Discman from her vehicle while it was parked on Vineyard Boulevard. The suspects were with a car, and they asked her for a jump, so she went into the garage to get cables. There were originally four suspects, and two initially fled on foot. The remaining suspects ran off in the direction of LaCrosse Drive. The report was taken at 11:08pm.

February 10

  • Auto burglary: A locked vehicle was broken into and ransacked overnight while the owner was visiting her mother, who is a resident of the Woodland Estates Mobile Home Park. The report was taken at 8:04am.

  • Auto burglary: A resident of the Woodland Estates Mobile Home Park reported items were stolen from two of his vehicles overnight, and whoever entered the vehicles left behind property that does not belong to him. The report was taken at 8:13am.

  • Auto burglary: A resident of Gallant Fox Way reported two of his vehicles were ransacked during the night. A blanket was taken from one of the vehicles, and property that does not belong to him was found in one of the vehicles. The report was taken at 8:39am.
