• Battery: A Morgan Hill resident reported he was assaulted by a co-worker. The report was taken at 9:11am.

• Petty theft: The manager of the Valero gas station on Monterey Road reported someone shoplifted items from the station store over the weekend. The manager told police he knows the suspect, and the station has a videotape of the suspect. The report was taken at 10:21am.

• Identity theft: A Morgan Hill resident reported he lost his wallet, and someone has been using his Visa card and identification. The report was taken at 2:29pm.

• Petty theft: Pump N Go Gas on Monterey Road reported a customer pumped gas and left without paying for it. The report was taken at 9:03pm.

• Auto burglary: A resident of Las Casas de San Pedro reported someone broke into his vehicle but was not sure if anything was taken from the vehicle. The report was taken at 11:24pm.

• Vandalism: A newspaper delivery person reported a door and a window of the drive-thru of the McDonald’s restaurant on Condit Road were shattered overnight. The report was taken at 3:56am.

• Battery: A Morgan Hill resident reported she was punched in the face by a male friend who gave her a ride home. The report was taken at 6:59am.

• Vandalism: A resident of the 16800 block of Sorrel reported a window of her Dodge Caravan was shattered overnight. The report was taken at 7:57am.

• Auto burglary: K&M Relocation Network on Caputo Drive reported a company van was broken into some time during the past few days. The report was taken at 8:37am.

• Vandalism: Taco Bell on Condit Road reported damage to the business’ windows overnight by BB shots. The report was taken at 8:43am.

• Stolen vehicle: A resident of Keith Way reported his Toyota pickup was stolen from the front of the residence. The report was taken at 2:24pm.

• Vandalism: A resident of the 900 block of Llagas Road reported some time overnight someone shattered a window of her Yukon XL. The report was taken at 3:24pm.

• Auto burglary: A Morgan Hill resident reported her Honda Accord was parked in the lot at the Gavilan College at the Community Center and was broken into. A window was shattered, and her purse was stolen. The report was taken at 9:17pm.

August 31

• Child Abuse: A resident of La Alameda reported he was concerned for three small children in an apartment on the next floor. He told police he hears the mother cussing at the children and calling them names. He also thought he heard what might have been slapping. The ages of the children range from infant to three years old, he said. The case was referred to Child Protective Services. The report was taken at 1:35am.

• Burglary: A home under construction on Serra Avenida was broken into overnight, and 18 boxes of tiles were stolen. The tiles were valued at $1,240. The report was taken at 12:12pm.

• Battery: An employee of the Rite Aid on Monterey Road reported a customer spit on his face. He told police this is the third time it has happened, and he finally wants to press charges. The report was taken at 3:05pm.
