• Fraud: A resident of White Cloud Drive reported her checks were stolen from her mailbox in July. She reported the theft to the post office and stopped payment on the checks, but the Bank of America told her the day before that a check had been forged and cashed. The bank has information on the suspect. The report was taken at 10:37am.

• Battery: A Morgan Hill resident reported she was assaulted by her teen-age daughter. The report was taken at 10:43am.

• Disturbance: Live Oak High reported a fight on the school campus. The report was taken at 11:03am.

• Petty theft: Sobrato High reported a male student was caught stealing a t-shirt. The report was taken at 11:09am.

• Vandalism: Morgan Hill Motors on Monterey Road reported someone shattered windows on two vehicles overnight. The report was taken at 12:55pm.

• Battery: Sobrato High reported a male student assaulted another student. The report was taken at 1:21pm.

• Stolen vehicle: A resident of La Crosse Village Apartments reported her Pontiac Bonneville was stolen from the residence. The report was taken at 1:41pm.

• Auto burglary: A Morgan Hill resident reported their locked car was broken into on Sept. 9. Personal papers, a Social Security card, a marriage certificate, birth certificates and a passport were stolen. The report was taken at 4:36pm.

September 16

• Vandalism: A resident of Rosemary Circle reported someone threw a rock through her front bedroom window. She told police her husband looked out the window and saw someone running away. The report was taken at 12:16am.

• Auto burglary: A resident of La Alameda reported someone broke into her locked Volkswagen Jetta and stole the stereo. The report was taken at 11:56am.

• Vandalism: An employee of a business in the 670 block of Jarvis Drive reported someone “keyed” their Nissan Altima while it was parked at the business. The report was taken at 2:44pm.

• Burglary: Executive Inn Suites on Condit Road reported one of their maids saw a guest bring a vending machine onto the property and break into it. The female suspect also broke into a vending machine belonging to the motel. The suspect’s room was “trashed,” according to the motel manager, so they locked them out. The manager also told police there was a lot of drug paraphernalia inside the room. The report was taken at 3:33pm.

• Fraud: A Morgan Hill resident who reported her purse stolen earlier told police her credit card was used today at the World Gas station. The report was taken at 4:21pm.

• Fraud: A Morgan Hill resident reported his wallet was stolen on Jan. 4, and now his credit cards are being used. The report was taken at 5:15pm.

• Vandalism: A resident of La Crosse Drive reported someone “tagged” a light pole in front of their house. The report was taken at 6:04pm.

September 17

• Vandalism: A resident of the 17300 block of Grand Prix Way reported a window of their Toyota RAV4 was shattered. The report was taken at 7:14am.

• Burglary: A construction company reported a construction site at Monterey Road and Peebles Avenue was entered, and two power cords and a toolbox valued at more than $1,000 were stolen. The report was taken at 8:01am.

• Burglary: DKW Salon on Monterey Road was broken into overnight. It was not clear at the time of the report what was stolen from the salon. The report was taken at 8:04am.

• Burglary: Morgan Hill Glass on Monterey Road was broken into overnight, the lock was cut, and several items were stolen. The report was taken at 9:53am.

• Vandalism: A resident of the Monte Vista Apartments reported their vehicle was scratched and damaged on all sides overnight. The report was taken at 4:11pm.

September 18

• Stolen vehicle: A Morgan Hill resident reported their Mustang was stolen from the Safeway Fuel Center. The report was taken at 4:14am.

• Burglary: Holiday Inn Express on Condit Road reported two vending machines were broken into. The report was taken at 4:32pm.

• Burglary: A guest of the Holiday Motel on Monterey Road reported someone broke in through the window of the room and stole a PlayStation center, approximately 8-10 games and a surround sound system.
