Battery: A resident of Via Del Castille reported she was arguing with her son, and he hit her in the right eye. The report was taken at 6:44pm.
Sept. 20
Petty theft: Morgan Hill Cleaners on Monterey Road reported parts from a shirt machine were taken overnight from behind the building near the dumpster. The report was taken at 8:16am.
Vandalism: A resident of La Crosse Village Apartments reported someone sprayed orange paint on stairs, sidewalk and a tree at the complex. The report was taken at 11:39am.
Battery: A resident of Venetian Way reported his mother’s boyfriend was hitting her. The boyfriend left the residence before police arrived. The report was taken at 10:31pm.
Sept. 21
Vandalism: An employee of the Target store in the Cochrane Plaza shopping center reported someone broke one of the store’s windows. The report was taken at 2:43am.
Petty theft: A resident of the Christina Apartments reported a package that contained a Motorola Razr cell phone valued at $250 was stolen from his front porch after it was delivered by FedEx on July 10. The report was taken at 10:42am.
Sept. 22
Burglary: An employee of a dental office on West Dunne Avenue reported the front door of the office was found open, lights were on in the office, and several things were disturbed. The report was taken at 7:44am.
Petty theft: A resident of the Hacienda Mobile Home Estates reported mail was stolen from her mailbox on Sept. 20; she told police that $80 in cash was stolen from an envelope. The report was taken at 4:43pm.
Battery: A Morgan Hill resident reported her son was punched in the face by another male juvenile while at the Cinelux Theaters in the Tennant Station shopping center. The report was taken at 11:29pm.
Sept. 23
Fraud: A resident of Hale Avenue reported they received phone calls from JC Penny confirming an order for $1,250, but they have not placed an order. A Target store account has also been opened without the resident’s position. The report was taken at 4:35pm.
Burglary: A resident of Kelly Park Circle reported she came home and found someone had broken into her home. The screen of the rear sliding glass door was found propped open, and a screen from a living room window was removed. She told police that there were pillows and cushions all over the floor, but she did not believe anything was taken; the dog that was in the home may have frightened away the burglar or burglars. The report was taken at 7:26pm.
Sept. 24
Petty theft: A Morgan Hill resident reported her entire dryer load of newborn clothes was missing from the Launderland in Tennant Station shopping center. She told police there is a family at the business with a baby, and she found her newborn clothes in their laundry basket. The report was taken at 11:06am.
Auto burglary: A Morgan Hill resident reported their BMW was broken into while parked in the parking lot of the Community and Cultural Center. A window was shattered, but was not clear what was stolen from the car. The report was taken at 6:32pm.
Sept. 25
Vandalism: A resident of Barnell Avenue reported the weather-proof liner was ripped from the window of their Hyundai Elantra overnight. The report was taken at 6:55am.
Vandalism: A resident of Mathilda Court reported the front and rear window of their Nissan Altima were shattered overnight. The report was taken at 9:20am.
Auto burglary: A resident of Fountain Avenue reported the stereo was stolen from their unlocked vehicle overnight. The report was taken at 10:13am.
